IThZ President's Welcome
I greet you on behalf of the Executive Board and the members of Illustrious Iota Theta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated!
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., was founded over 104 years ago by five collegiate women who had a vision to establish an organization to serve and make an impact through service. Over 400,000 women have followed with tenacity to maintain our Founders’ vision. Iota Theta Zeta Chapter was no different and was chartered by seven bold women who saw a need and sprang into action.
For 45 years, this chapter has been committed to the Nassau County communities it covers, in service through various initiatives whether it be in the distribution of scholarships to deserving high school graduates, annual walks and fundraising for March of Dimes, the American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer, St. Jude’s (all long-standing National partners) and many Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Others Excel) programs that address the needs of families age 0-99. These have included voter registration, suicide prevention, period poverty drives, college preparation (for students and parents) and community baby showers. The diversity in our programs and initiatives help to solidify our standing in the community as a world class service organization.
As a graduate chapter, we support three undergraduate chapters, Eta Kappa on the campus of SUNY Old Westbury, Zeta Kappa on the campus of Long Island University, C.W. Post and Alpha Lamda on the campus of Adelphi University. Our goal is to continue growing Zeta and cultivating young, like-minded leaders who want to make a change and build up their communities.
Thank you for visiting our newly designed website. I hope this website helps you to learn more about our organization, our chapter and the work that we do. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram and check back here often to be in the know about upcoming events and activities!
